Ticketing Policies...

Online Sales - Starting May 15, 2005
You can use your American Express, Visa, or MasterCard card to buy tickets online. There is a nominal per-ticket charge for each ticket sold online. The amount of this fee is indicated (and itemized) during the ticket purchase process. Confirmation of your ticket purchase will be e-mailed to you within an hour of purchase. Tickets should be picked up at the PtownTix box office before you attend the performance. Positive identification must be offered before tickets will be issued. (Important Note: The theater will not be able to give you your ticket until 30 minutes before showtime. The PtownTix box office in The Provincetown Theater will, however, be able to furnish your tickets at any time after purchase.)

Phone Sales
You can order tickets by phone. Call PtownTix at (508) 487-9793 to make your reservations. Tickets may be picked up at our box office before you attend the performance. Positive identification must be offered before tickets will be issued. We accept American Express, Visa, or MasterCard.

Walk Up Sales
Visit our box office location and order your tickets in person. We are located in the The Provincetown Theater.

Information Collection and Use
PtownTix and The Provincetown Theater Foundation are the sole owners of the information collected on this site. We will not sell, share, or rent this information to others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. PtownTix collects information from our users during the online sales process.

Ticket Ordering
We request information from patrons on our order forms. Patrons must provide contact information (such as name and billing address) and financial information (such as credit card number, expiration date). This information is used for billing purposes and to fill the patron’s request. If we have difficulty processing a request, contact information is used to get in touch with the patron.

Sharing
We use a credit card processing company to bill users for donations and ticket purchases. This company does not retain, share, store or use personally-identifiable information for any secondary purposes. We do, at times, share our list of patrons with other arts organizations. If you wish to opt-out from information sharing, please notify the box office, (508) 487-9793. Your information will not leave PtownTix or The Provincetown Theater Foundation.

Security
This website takes every precaution to protect our patrons’ information. When patrons submit sensitive information via the website, your information is protected both online and off-line.

When our registration/order form asks users to enter sensitive information (such as credit card number and/or social security number), that information is encrypted and is protected with the best encryption software in the industry - SSL. While on a secure page, such as our order form, the lock icon on the bottom of Web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Microsoft Internet Explorer becomes locked, as opposed to un-locked, or open, when you are just ‘surfing’.

While we use SSL encryption to protect sensitive information online, we also do everything in our power to protect user-information off-line. All of our users’ information, not just the sensitive information mentioned above, is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, our billing clerk or a customer service representative) are granted access to personally identifiable information. Furthermore, ALL employees are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. Finally, the servers on which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment behind a locked door.

Correction/Updating Personal Information
If a patron’s personally identifiable information changes (such as your zip code), or if a patron no longer desires to be in our active solicitation, we will endeavor to provide a way to correct, update or remove that user’s personal data provided to us.
